AI Transparency Disclosure
EU AI Act โ Article 50 Transparency Obligation ยท Last updated: August 2026
๐ค AI-Powered System
SignalPulse uses artificial intelligence algorithms to detect and score buying intent signals from publicly available web content. This page discloses how AI is used in our platform in accordance with the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Article 50.
1. How AI Is Used in SignalPulse
SignalPulse employs AI-based algorithms to:
- Monitor public web sources โ The system continuously scans publicly available content from Reddit, Hacker News, Twitter/X, Google News, and other public forums for relevant discussions.
- Detect buying intent keywords โ Natural language processing and keyword matching algorithms identify posts and discussions that indicate potential buying interest related to your configured topics.
- Score and rank signals โ A scoring algorithm evaluates each detected signal based on relevance, recency, source authority, and keyword match strength, producing a numerical confidence score.
- Alert sales teams โ Signals that meet configurable thresholds are surfaced in the dashboard and sent as alerts.
2. Nature of AI Outputs
โ ๏ธ Signal scores are AI-generated estimates, not guarantees.
The scores and signals provided by SignalPulse represent algorithmic assessments of publicly available content. They are intended as decision-support tools and should not be treated as verified facts or definitive indicators of buying intent.
Users should apply their own professional judgment when acting on signals. SignalPulse does not replace human decision-making in sales processes.
3. AI System Classification
Under the EU AI Act's risk-based framework, SignalPulse is classified as a limited-risk AI system. This classification is based on the following assessment:
- Not a prohibited system (Art. 5) โ SignalPulse does not perform social scoring, manipulative techniques, exploitation of vulnerabilities, real-time biometric identification, or any other prohibited practice.
- Not a high-risk system (Art. 6, Annex III) โ SignalPulse is not used in employment, creditworthiness assessment, law enforcement, migration, critical infrastructure, education, or any domain listed in Annex III of the AI Act.
- Limited-risk with transparency obligations (Art. 50) โ As a system that uses AI to generate content and assessments, we comply with the transparency obligations to inform users that outputs are AI-generated.
4. Data Sources & Processing
- All signal data is derived exclusively from publicly available web content.
- We do not use personal data of individuals for AI training or profiling.
- We do not use biometric data, facial recognition, emotion recognition, or biometric categorization.
- No automated individual decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects (GDPR Art. 22) is performed.
5. Human Oversight
SignalPulse is designed as a human-in-the-loop system. All signals and scores are presented to human users (sales professionals) who make their own decisions on how to act. The system does not autonomously contact prospects, send communications, or take actions on behalf of users without explicit human initiation.
6. Accuracy & Limitations
Users should be aware of the following limitations:
- Signal scores are probabilistic estimates and may produce false positives (non-intent content scored as intent) or false negatives (missed signals).
- The system's accuracy depends on the quality and representativeness of publicly available content.
- Sarcasm, irony, or ambiguous language in source content may lead to incorrect scoring.
- Performance may vary across languages, topics, and source platforms.
7. Your Rights
As a user of an AI system under the EU AI Act, you have the right to:
- Be informed that you are interacting with AI-generated outputs (this disclosure);
- Understand the general logic and purpose of the AI system;
- Contact us with questions, concerns, or complaints about the AI system;
- Exercise your GDPR rights regarding any personal data processed (see our Privacy Policy).
